Philippe Bertrand has been a software developer for Sybase iAnywhere since 2001 working on various variants of the UltraLite database and synchronization clients for mobile devices, including UltraLiteJ for BlackBerry and J2ME Smart phones. He was also responsible for the UltraLite.NET API and for an earlier Java-based version of UltraLite. Philippe is a graduate of the University of Waterloo (B.Math Computer Science with Electrical Engineering Electives, M.Math Computer Graphics) with a particular interest in usability and performance. Philippe is also an active member of 1st Elmira Scout Group. |

Tom Slee is a product manager at Sybase. He works in the SQL Anywhere product management team, with a responsibility for mobile database technologies. |
